In a chilling tale of revenge in Rewa, a brother took a gruesome step to avenge his sister’s harassment, and it took the police eight months to unravel the details of the shocking crime. The 19-year-old accused, Krishna, brutally killed the man who had harassed his sister by mutilating his private parts and slashing his throat.
The murder occurred in April, when the body of 38-year-old Hiralal Kol, a plumber from the Khaira Basti area, was discovered near Sanchi Parlor in the Chaurhta police jurisdiction. His body showed signs of extreme violence: not only was his throat slit, but his private parts had also been severed. The police were initially left clueless, and the case became a mystery that would take months to solve.
Eight months later, after extensive investigations and pressure from the police, Krishna, known as Chotu, was arrested. In his confession, Krishna revealed that Hiralal had been harassing his sister. Enraged and determined to take revenge, Krishna planned Hiralal’s murder. On April 20, Krishna lured Hiralal by offering him alcohol. Once Hiralal was drunk, Krishna attacked him with a knife, stabbing him in the throat and mutilating his body. Krishna's hatred for Hiralal had grown after the harassment of his sister, leading him to commit the brutal act.
The police, after months of tireless efforts and a tip-off, were able to arrest Krishna. He was charged with murder, and the police successfully solved this blind murder case. Krishna has since been presented in court and sent to jail.
