The most important thing is that the distance between these districts and Dehradun will be reduced considerably. Apart from this, new businesses are expected to open. Let us tell you that the construction of this 147.8 km long expressway is expected to cost around Rs 8700 crore.
When will the 8 lane expressway start operating
According to many media reports, this Upper Ganga Canal Expressway can be started at the end of the year i.e. in November or December 2025, which will reduce the distance of these districts to Dehradun considerably. Apart from this, the Upper Ganga Canal Expressway also includes the development of a 23.5 km long link expressway connecting south-west Meerut to Meerut Airport and DFC terminal infrastructure.
