UP News: In a shocking incident from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, a woman inspector has accused her sub-inspector husband of infidelity and physical abuse. The matter took a grim turn when the woman also alleged that her brother-in-law engaged in obscene acts and assaulted her. The incident occurred in the Mahanagar Kotwali area, where the distraught woman inspector sought help on Sunday, leaving the police personnel present at the station stunned.

Marital Betrayal and Assault

The woman inspector, in tears, narrated her ordeal to senior officers. She shared that her first husband had passed away, leaving her to care for her young son alone. After his death, she found companionship with a sub-inspector posted in Lucknow, and they eventually married. However, her world came crashing down when she discovered her husband in an intimate situation with her sister-in-law.

“When I confronted my husband about his behavior, he assaulted me. I turned to my brother-in-law for support, but instead, he began misbehaving with me. He tried to strangle me and even resorted to obscene acts. My husband also confiscated all my jewelry during this ordeal,” she revealed.

Desperate Escape and Police Intervention

Fearing for her safety, the woman inspector managed to escape and reached the police station in a distressed state. Her medical examination was conducted immediately, and a case has been filed against her husband, sister-in-law, and brother-in-law.

The police assured strict action against the accused if the allegations are substantiated. "We are awaiting the medical report. Based on the findings, appropriate legal steps will be taken," an officer stated. The incident has raised questions about accountability within law enforcement and highlighted the need for justice for the victim.
