Crime News: A contentious legal battle has emerged from Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, involving Dr. Bilal, a prominent private doctor, and a woman who first sought his medical care before accusing him of rape. The case took a dramatic turn when Dr. Bilal countered with his own allegations of blackmail against the woman and her associates.

Dr. Bilal, who operates Metro Hospital on Joya-Amroha Road and also serves as the president of the BUMS Doctors Association Amroha, and his associate, Dr. Fariyad, are facing allegations from the woman, identified as Nisha Soni. According to reports, Soni filed a rape complaint against Dr. Bilal and Dr. Fariyad, presenting call recordings as evidence. In response, Dr. Bilal and Dr. Fariyad have filed a counterclaim accusing Soni, along with Dr. Qasim and others, of extortion.

CCTV footage unravels the story

CCTV video has surfaced showing Nisha Soni allegedly extorting Rs 10 lakh from Dr. Bilal. In the footage, Soni, wearing a burqa, is seen accepting money from Dr. Qasim, who is reportedly involved in the extortion scheme. This footage has added a new layer of complexity to the case. Allegedly, such incidents are part of a broader pattern where individuals use rape allegations to extort money, leaving victims of false claims in dire situations.

Police response

On June 13, 2024, Dr. Bilal reportedly received threats from the woman and Dr. Qasim, who demanded money or risk being falsely implicated. Dr. Bilal complied, fearing damage to his reputation. However, just two days later, Soni filed a formal complaint accusing him and Dr. Fariyad of rape during a community grievance session.

The police are now deeply involved in investigating both the rape and blackmail allegations. Superintendent of Police Kunwar Anupam Singh has instructed the Didauli police to conduct a thorough investigation to ensure justice is served and to address any potential financial disputes that may have fueled the conflict.
