New Delhi: In a tragic incident, an 'alleged' encounter occurred on the night of July 15 in Amroha district, resulting in Manoj Saini sustaining a leg injury from a gunshot. Two others, identified as Rohit and Anil, were apprehended by police without harm. Authorities reported recovering a motorcycle lacking a number plate, a pistol, and cartridges from the scene.

Three men forcefully taken from residences

The lawyer representing the accused contested the police narrative, alleging that the three men were forcefully taken from their residences and framed in a fabricated encounter scenario. The court has initiated a thorough examination of the case in response to these claims.

No bullets recovered from site

Questions arose as no law enforcement officers were reported injured during the incident, and no expended bullets from police firearms were recovered at the site, prompting skepticism over the authenticity of the encounter.

Granted bail promptly

Following legal proceedings, Rahul and Anil were granted bail promptly. However, Manoj Saini was remanded to judicial custody solely under provisions of the Arms Act, with charges related to the alleged attack on police officers dismissed.

The unfolding legal battle has drawn attention to the conduct of law enforcement and the veracity of encounter operations in the region. As investigations continue, stakeholders await further developments in the case to determine the truth behind the disputed incident in Amroha.
