A shocking incident unfolded in Krishna Nagar where a Uttar Pradesh Police constable fatally shot his wife during a domestic altercation. The constable, Sarvesh Rawat, who belongs to the 2011 batch and is currently posted in Kanpur, used his service pistol to shoot his wife, Chandrika, amid a heated argument.

Chandrika, who was also employed at a local post office, tragically succumbed to the gunshot wound. The incident has left the community in shock, as neighbours and colleagues struggle to come to terms with the devastating event.

Following the shooting, Sarvesh Rawat turned the gun on himself in what appears to be an attempt to end his own life. He was found critically injured at the scene and was immediately rushed to the trauma center, where he succumbed to death. The bodies have been sent to the mortuary. The police have also started an investigation into the case.

This tragic incident highlights the potential dangers of unresolved domestic conflicts, even among those tasked with upholding the law. The police department has initiated an investigation to uncover the circumstances that led to this heartbreaking event.
