New Delhi: In a distressing incident reported from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, a man has been arrested for allegedly raping his two minor stepdaughters over the past six months. The case came to light when their mother lodged a formal complaint with the Kavinagar police, stating that her husband had threatened the girls, aged 14 and 16, to silence them about the abuse.According to police, the mother discovered her husband assaulting her 14-year-old daughter on Wednesday. The elder daughter also reported multiple assaults. The mother has accused her husband of supporting the crimes and has implicated her mother-in-law in the abuse.More on the situation Police have taken the accused into custody, charging him under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
