UP News: In a shocking incident from Maharajganj district, Uttar Pradesh, the operator of a private hospital has been accused of deceiving and exploiting a General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) staff member for nine years. The operator allegedly hid his marital status and fatherhood to maintain a physical relationship with the victim under the false promise of marriage. The victim, a resident of Sant Kabir Nagar, has filed a police complaint accusing the man of rape, physical assault, and emotional manipulation.Nine Years of Deception RevealedThe victim stated in her complaint that the relationship began in 2015 when she was employed at the hospital. The operator assured her of marriage, only for her to later discover that he was already married with three children. Trapped by false promises, she claims to have endured physical abuse and threats to her reputation whenever she protested.On Tuesday, the victim confronted the operator at the hospital in Maharajganj, leading to a heated altercation with a female staff member alleged to be involved with him. The confrontation escalated, with the victim threatening self-harm. She attempted to cut her hand and throat with a piece of glass but sustained only minor injuries. The police arrived at the scene after being alerted by the victim and took both parties to the station for questioning.Police Action and Legal ProceedingsInspector-in-Charge Manoj Kumar Rai confirmed that a case has been registered against the operator under charges of rape and assault based on the victims complaint. The victim underwent a medical examination, and her statement was recorded before the magistrate under Section 164 of the CrPC.
