UP News: In a deeply troubling incident in the Katghar police station area of Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, a woman has accused two friends of her husband of committing heinous acts against her. The woman claims that her husband works outside the city, leaving her vulnerable to the predatory behavior of Pankaj and Rajiv, both residents of Raghunath Nagar, Habullaganj.The allegationsAccording to the victim, Rajiv ensnared her in a deceitful love affair approximately one and a half years ago, during which he engaged in sexual relations with her. Subsequently, both Rajiv and Pankaj allegedly threatened her via video call, coercing her into removing her clothes while recording the incident on their mobile phones. This led to repeated sexual assaults over several days.The victim further alleges that both men blackmailed her with the threat of releasing the explicit video to the public. They demanded money and even a gold chain as payment for their silence. Despite her efforts to seek help from the Katghar police station, she claims that her complaints were initially ignored. Frustrated and desperate, she eventually submitted an application to the court.Legal action initiatedFollowing her court application, the ACJM First ordered the registration of an FIR against the accused. In response to inquiries, CO Katghar Ashish Pratap Singh confirmed that a case has been filed against Pankaj and Rajiv under serious charges, including rape, threats, and violations of the IT Act. The police have assured that action will be taken based on the findings of the ongoing investigation.
