UP News: In a harrowing incident in Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh, 45-year-old journalist Dilip Saini was brutally murdered on Wednesday night, allegedly over a property dispute. The incident, which occurred in Bisauli village on Bhitoura Road, left Saini’s colleague, Shahid, critically injured. The two were at Saini’s residence when over 16 assailants stormed in and launched a violent knife attack. The attackers reportedly caused further destruction by vandalizing vehicles before fleeing the scene, sparking widespread shock in the community.

Saini, a correspondent for ANI, was immediately transported to Kanpur's LLR Hospital, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries. His colleague Shahid, a resident of Lala Bazar, remains in critical condition at Hallett Hospital. Sources indicate that the attackers' motives likely stemmed from a high-stakes property deal, which involved multiple assets in Lucknow and various towns in Fatehpur.

In response to the attack, Fatehpur Police have registered a case against 16 individuals, including nine named suspects. Charges filed include kidnapping, assault, and property vandalism. City CO Sushil Dubey assured the public that intensive raids are underway to apprehend those involved. “We are committed to delivering justice for the victim and ensuring the safety of his family and associates,” Dubey stated.
