Uttar Pradesh: Thousands of young protestors spent the night outside the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) office in Prayagraj, determined to push for change under the open sky. The protest, which began with a call for reform in exam scheduling, has now intensified with the demand for a “one exam–one day” policy, which students argue will help prevent irregularities and ensure a fair process.District magistrates appeal goes unheededDuring the night, the District Magistrate (DM) visited the protest site, urging students to end the demonstration and return to their studies. He emphasized that their energy would be better spent in exam preparation rather than continuing the agitation. However, the youth remained unmoved, making it clear that the protest will continue indefinitely until UPPSC agrees to the single-day examination demand. … pic.twitter.com/oE1WwACO43— Sachin Gupta (@SachinGuptaUP) November 12, 2024Call for indefinite protestThe protestors are firm in their decision, announcing that their sit-in will not end until UPPSC officially declares a “one exam–one day” policy. They believe that the current multi-day exam schedule creates unnecessary complications and can lead to inconsistencies in the exam process. By uniting under this cause, the youth of Uttar Pradesh are standing against what they see as administrative flaws, rallying for a transparent and equitable examination process.
