RaGa meets Varun Gandhi at Kedarnath: Rahul Gandhi, former Congress president, and his cousin Varun Gandhi, a BJP Member of Parliament from Uttar Pradesh, had an unexpected meeting on Tuesday at the sacred Kedarnath temple where they had both gone to offer prayers.

The short-lived meeting has sent shockwaves across their political adversaries, with speculations rising about Varun Gandhi's homecoming to the Congress.

Political Speculation Abounds

The cousins, who are rarely seen together in public, sparked speculation about Varun Gandhi's political trajectory. Varun Gandhi, the son of Sanjay and Maneka Gandhi, has been notably absent from key BJP meetings in recent months, and his stances on vital issues have sometimes diverged from the party's official positions.

A Brief Yet Warm Encounter

Sources revealed that the Gandhis had a short and warm meeting just outside the revered shrine, exchanging pleasantries. They noted that Rahul Gandhi was particularly pleased to meet Varun's daughter.

Despite their infrequent encounters, the cousins have maintained amicable relations, sources mentioned. However, it was underscored that the meeting was devoid of political discussions.

Spiritual Journeys at Kedarnath

Rahul Gandhi has spent the past three days at Kedarnath in Uttarakhand, while Varun Gandhi visited the temple dedicated to Lord Shiva along with his family on Tuesday.
