Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh on Sunday said that the violence in Manipur has been sought up to a great extent under the guidance and supervision of Union home minister Amit Shah and he has sought cooperation with every stakeholder to ensure that peace is maintained in the state.

After meeting with Amit Shah at his residence, the chief minister of Manipur N Biren Shah said that the central government has assured that they will ensure that all the possible steps are taken to maintain the peace in the state.

Apart from this, the ban on internet services in the state has been continued for another five days pro prevent any disturbances and law and order in the state.

According to the official release, the ban on internet services in the northeast state, which has been racked by ethnic clashes and violence, has been extended till 3 pm on June 30 to “prevent any disturbances of the peace and public order in the jurisdiction of the State of Manipur.”

12 bunkers destroyed in the past 24 hours in the state: Police

According to the latest reports, the 12 bunkers constructed by the militants have been destroyed by the police and central security forces in the various districts in the violence-hit Manipur in the past 24 hours.

Reportedly, the search operation was conducted in both the hill and valley in Tamenglong, Imphal East, Bishnupur, Kandpokpi, Churachandpur and Kakching districts. The Manipur police also informed that the situation is tense in some places but under control and normal in most of the districts of the state.

“During the search three 51mm mortar shells, and three 84 mm mortar shells were found in the paddy field of Sahumphai village and one IED was found in a paddy field between Kangvai and S. Kotlian villages. The mortar shells and IED were demolished at the spot by the State Bomb Disposal Team,” the official statement said.

They should focus on BJP states, instead of commenting on Punjab: Raghav Chadha

Taking a jibe at BJP, Aam Aadmi Party leader, Raghav Chadha said Manipur is burning under the double-powered engine. Taking it to Twitter, he said, “Manipur, under BJP’s double engine govt, is burning. While Delhi, where BJP controls law&order/ police, grapples with a high crime rate. Perhaps Rajnath Singh ji should focus on BJP states rather than commenting on Punjab, which boasts better law & order under an able AAP govt.”
