Unconscious in bushes: Eyewitness recounts discovery of raped toddler in Faridabad

Uttar Pradesh: A shocking incident of the rape of a three-year-old girl has surfaced in the Dabua police station area of Faridabad, sending shockwaves through the community. The accused fled the scene, leaving the child in a critical state.

Gruesome discovery and initial response

The victim was discovered in a bloody state in bushes near Ghazipur Murgi Farm Road, Ram Vatika, by a local youth named Mayank, who had gone to the deserted area. "There he saw an unconscious girl in the bushes and was shocked," he stated. Mayank immediately alerted the surrounding people and contacted the police by dialing 112.

Delay in medical assistance

Mayank alleges that the police response was delayed. He claims that the police reached the spot half an hour after receiving the information. Further, instead of immediately transporting the critically injured girl to the hospital in their vehicle, the police allegedly waited for an ambulance. Faced with the child's deteriorating condition, they eventually put her on a bike and started towards BK Hospital. They encountered an ambulance after traveling approximately two kilometers, and the girl was then transported to BK Hospital by ambulance.

Critical condition and medical intervention

Due to the severity of her injuries, doctors at BK Hospital referred her to AllMS Trauma Center in Delhi. However, she was later admitted to a private hospital in Surajkund Marg for specialized care. The girl's condition remains critical, and she is unable to speak even 24 hours after the incident. She has severe injuries to her private parts, requiring multiple stitches, and scratch marks were found on various parts of her body. Doctors suspect her condition was worsened by excessive bleeding, and there is concern that the accused may have attempted to kill her after the rape.

Investigation and support

Police have launched an investigation into the heinous crime, with three teams actively searching for the accused. Authorities have assured that the government will bear the cost of the girl's treatment in the private hospital. The Red Cross Society will also be involved to assist. A police spokesperson stated that after the girl recovers, a letter will be written to the concerned department to deposit the hospital bill, ensuring that the family does not bear the financial burden of this tragedy.
