Gurugram Police have apprehended three individuals accused of attempting to rob a police team at gunpoint. The suspects include two residents of Palwal and one from Gurugram. The arrested individuals have been identified as Mosim Khan (23) and Salim Khan (23) from Palwal, and Jitender (30) from Gurugram. Authorities seized an illegal pistol, a live cartridge, and a wooden baton from their possession.Foiled robbery attemptThe incident occurred when a police team, led by Inspector Vishw Gaurav of the Sector-39 Crime Branch, was on its way to prevent a robbery near DPG College in Sector-72, Gurugram. Acting on a tip-off about the suspects planning a robbery, the team devised a plan to apprehend the culprits.As the police approached the location, the suspects, unaware that they were targeting law enforcement officers, used a flashlight to stop the police vehicle, intending to rob them. Upon realizing their target was a police team, the suspects attempted to flee but were quickly pursued and captured.Previous criminal recordsAccording to a police spokesperson, all three suspects have criminal histories. Mosim Khan has multiple cases against him, including two for assault and violations under the Arms Act in Palwal, two for fraud in Rajasthan, and two theft-related cases in Gurugram. Salim Khan faces charges of fraud in Palwal and theft in Gurugram. Jitender has a case registered under the NDPS Act in Fatehabad.The suspects are now in police custody, and further investigations are underway.
