Tamil Nadu chief minister MK Stalin on Thursday have launched a forceful attack on opposition parties defending his son Udhayanidhi Stalin over his remarks, “Sanatan Dharma must be eradicated”, which initiated a storm afterwards.

Making strong attack through his tweet, MK Stalin said that pro-BJP forces are unable to tolerate Udhayanidhi’s stance. Taking it to Twitter, he wrote, “Hon’ble Minister @UdhayStalin didn’t call for ‘genocide’ as distorted by BJP, but only spoke against discrimination. Disheartening to see the ‘responsible’ Hon’ble Prime Minister, Union Ministers and BJP Chief Ministers ignore facts and driven on fake narratives despite having all access and resources to verify the facts.”

In his writeup, Stalin also accused Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders of spreading a false narrative alleging that Udhyanidhi called for the genocide of people with Sanatan thoughts.

Earlier in the day, Udhyanidhi also clarified his statements on ‘Sanatan Dharma’ and accused BJP leaders for twisting his speech as ‘inciting genocide’ and said that they are using it as a weapon to protect themselves.
