New Delhi: A horrific crime has shaken Baghpat district, Uttar Pradesh, with a young man shot dead by his own two elder brothers. The motive for the murder is believed to be the victim's remarriage to his deceased brother's wife.
According to Additional Superintendent of Police of Baghpat, NP Singh, the incident occurred on Friday night in Gurana village. Police were called to the scene after receiving reports of a young man being shot.
The deceased has been identified as 32-year-old Yashveer, one of four sons of Ishwar Singh. Investigations revealed a complex family dynamic. Sukhbir, Yashveer's elder brother, was married to a woman named Ritu. Tragically, Sukhbir passed away after a few years of marriage. In a decision likely intended to maintain family stability, Ritu was then married to her brother-in-law, Yashveer.
