A horrifying incident has emerged from Andhra Pradesh’s Annamayya district, where a 22-year-old woman was brutally attacked with a knife and acid by a man enraged over unrequited love. The shocking crime took place in Perampalli, leaving the victim critically injured.
According to sources, the accused had repeatedly expressed his love to the woman, but she consistently rejected his advances. Recently, she got engaged to another man, which further infuriated him. Unable to handle the rejection, he resorted to a gruesome act of violence.
The tragic incident unfolded on February 14 when the young woman was near her home. The accused suddenly arrived at the scene and viciously stabbed her multiple times, leaving her severely wounded. As if that wasn’t enough, he then threw acid on her in an attempt to cause further harm. Witnesses quickly intervened and alerted the police.
Upon receiving information, the police swiftly reached the spot and took the accused into custody. The victim was rushed to the hospital, where her condition remains critical. Authorities have assured strict legal action against the perpetrator.
The brutal attack has sparked outrage in the area, with residents condemning the crime and demanding stricter measures for women’s safety. Incidents like these highlight the urgent need for stronger laws and reforms to protect women from such heinous acts.
