New Delhi: In a tragic incident early Wednesday morning, an escort vehicle in the convoy of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader and former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren met with a fatal accident in Saraikela. Soren was not present in the vehicle at the time of the crash. The accident occurred around 1:30 AM near Mudia Chowk on the Seraikela-Kandra Road. The escort team was returning after dropping Soren at his native village, Jhilingora. According to police reports, the driver of the vehicle, constable Vinay Kumar, lost control and the vehicle rammed into a truck. Tragically, Kumar died on the spot, while four other team members sustained minor injuries and were immediately given first aid.Sorens political turmoilThis incident comes at a time when Champai Soren is already in the spotlight due to political turbulence within his party.
