New Delhi: A major accident occured on Sunday evening at Khardaha railway station in North 24 Parganas involving the Hazarduari Express and two private cars, causing tension and protests from local residents. The incident occurred around 8:40 PM as the Hazarduari Express approached Khardaha station on railway line number four. Despite the gateman initiating closure of the railway gate, two private vehicles attempted to cross and became trapped between the descending gates.

Severe damage to both cars 

The collision resulted in severe damage to both cars, though fortunately, the drivers sustained only minor injuries. Eyewitnesses confirmed that passengers aboard the Hazarduari Express remained unharmed, averting a potential catastrophe.
