Tragic! Paytm employee dies by suicide fearing job loss

A 35-year-old employee of Paytm Payments Bank Ltd has died by suicide by hanging himself in Indore due to stress over potential job loss. 

Job fear lead him to suicide 

According to preliminary investigation by Police inspector Taresh Kumari Soni, Paytm employee Gaurav Gupta was under stress for the last few days fearing that the company might close down and he might lose his job. However, Police have not found any suicide note from the spot. 

Notably, the RBI imposed major business restrictions on PPBL, including a bar on accepting fresh deposits and doing credit transactions after March 15.

Job loss on peak

The year 2024 started off on a worse note for the tech employees, as more than 122 tech companies and startups laid off more than 3,0000 workers in January itself, while the job cuts continue unabted.
