Tragic! Over 40 workers injured in boiler explosion at factory in Haryana's Rewari

In a tragic incident, over 40 workers were injured due to a boiler explosion in a factory in Dharuhera, Haryana. The injured were taken to Sir Shadi Lal Trauma Center in Rewari. 

What happened?

The incident took place on Saturday evening at the manufacturing unit located in Dharuhera industrial area of Rewari. According to media reports, it is being said that  40 employees are injured. The rescue team reached the spot and admitted the injured workers to the hospital and the seriously injured employees were referred to the higher center. Many senior officials of the health and police departments also reached the spot.

Massive explosion, chaos

According to one of the worker of the factory, Manish Kumar, who reached the hospital for treatment, said that about 150 employees were working. Then suddenly at 7 in the evening the boiler exploded. There was a huge explosion in the boiler and there was chaos in the company. As soon as the news of the blast in the factory was received, many ambulance vehicles reached the factory. The fire brigade team was also informed about the accident, after which the fire brigade squad also reached the spot. After this, one by one the burnt employees were taken out to the trauma center and other hospitals.

No casualty reported

Civil Surgeon Dr. Surendra Yadav said that a boiler had exploded in a factory in Dharuhera. We have alerted the hospitals and sent an ambulance to the factory, many people have sustained burn injuries in this tragic accident. About 40 people are injured. However, one serious patient was referred to Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS), Rohtak. 

What manufacturing company said?

After the accident, General Manager of Lifelong Company, Subhash Rana said that this accident happened due to bursting of pressure pipe.
