Tragic! Class 9 student dies by suicide in Madhya Pradesh's Kolar

A Class 9 student, resident of Kolar, died by suicide by jumping from the roof of his house after returning from school on Monday afternoon. 

The student's family has accused the school teachers and management of harassing him. However, according to Police, they have not recovered any suicide note from the spot and the reason for this drastic step of the student is still unclear. 

Identity of deceased

The deceased is identified as Atulit Pandey, son of Narendra Pandey. He was resident of Kolar, Madhya Pradesh and was a student of class nine of Orion School, Kolar. Due to such a painful death of son, the entire family is in shock and is not in a position to give any statement to the police. 

No suicide note found

The reason behind the suicide is still unknown as no suicide note was found from the student, but the father of the deceased has accused the the school management and teachers of torturing. The family members alleged that he was harassed in the school and requested Police to take strict action against the culprits.

35 students died by suicide each day in 2021

According to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), nearly 35 students died by suicide each day in 2021-over 13,000 student suicides were reported that year.
