In a devastating incident near Mancheri, Kerala, a collision between an auto-rickshaw and a tempo-traveller carrying Sabarimala pilgrims resulted in the loss of five lives, including two children. The unfortunate accident claimed the lives of the auto-rickshaw driver, Abdul Majeed (50), and passengers Thesleema (34), Muhsina (32), Raiha Fathima (4), and Rinsha Fathima (7).
The collision occurred when the auto-rickshaw, driven by Abdul Majeed, collided with the tempo-traveller transporting Sabarimala pilgrims from Karnataka. The impact of the collision led to the tragic demise of the auto's occupants, while five Sabarimala pilgrims from Karnataka sustained minor injuries.

The collision's immediate impact resulted in the death of the auto-rickshaw's occupants, while the Sabarimala pilgrims in the tempo-traveller suffered injuries. The emergency response teams were quick to arrive at the scene, providing medical assistance to the injured pilgrims and initiating the necessary investigative procedures.
