Tragic! 15 killed as bus collides with mini truck in Hathras

At least 12 people lost their lives after a state roadways bus collided with a mini truck on Friday. The victims, who were aboard the mini truck, were returning from a lunch gathering when the fatal crash occurred.

New Delhi: A devastating road accident occurred on the Agra-Aligarh National Highway near Meetai village in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, claiming 15 lives. The collision between a Max vehicle and a roadways bus from the Aligarh depot took place on Friday evening. According to reports, around 30 people were traveling in the Max vehicle at the time of the accident. 

The victims were returning to Semra village in Agra after attending a wedding in Sasni. Among the deceased were four children, four women, and seven men. The tragic incident has left the community in shock and mourning.

Officials rush to the scene

Upon receiving news of the accident, the District Magistrate (DM) and Superintendent of Police (SP) rushed to the scene to assess the situation and coordinate rescue operations. The injured were immediately transported to the district hospital for medical treatment. Authorities are working diligently to provide necessary assistance to the affected families.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath takes immediate action

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed deep sorrow over the incident and extended his condolences to the families of the deceased. Taking prompt cognizance of the accident, CM Yogi instructed district officials to ensure that the injured receive timely medical care. He also wished for the speedy recovery of those injured in the tragic accident. Furthermore, the Chief Minister has urged local authorities to expedite the relief and rescue efforts at the accident site.
