In a shocking incident from Pakbara, Moradabad, a police officer named Vikas has been accused of subjecting his wife to horrific torture for not bringing a car as dowry. The extent of the cruelty inflicted is so severe that it leaves one horrified.

According to reports, Vikas allegedly used electric shocks on his wife, burned her private parts with heated iron nails, and even went as far as pulling out her nails. There wasn’t a single part of her body that was spared from the torment, as hot screwdrivers and nails were used to inflict unimaginable pain.

The victim has been admitted to the hospital for treatment due to the severity of her injuries. This raises alarming questions about the integrity of law enforcement.

According to the police officials, they are investigating the case and have also arrested the parents of the accused.

Meanwhile, the case flagged a serious concerns saying that if a policeman can inflict such cruelty on his own wife over dowry demands, can he be trusted to deliver justice to other women who come to the police station with their complaints? The accused officer’s ability to empathize with the suffering of other women is now in serious doubt.

This case is not an isolated incident. In a similar situation in Lucknow, a policeman shot his wife dead. These incidents highlight the troubling reality that some of those tasked with upholding the law are themselves perpetrators of heinous crimes, raising concerns about the overall state of law enforcement.
