New Delhi: Former journalist, sports administrator, and politician Rajiv Shukla is well-known for his extensive network and diplomatic skills. During his appearance on India Daily Live's India stage, Shukla emphasized the importance of maintaining strong relationships. He took a critical stance against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing them of harboring a "Kaurava-like" mentality that resents the existence of any opposition government.

Shukla also addressed the India alliance formed for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, highlighting the strategic mechanisms and efforts that led to its formation. He pointed out that, despite not yet achieving power, the alliance has successfully bolstered the opposition and exposed the weaknesses of the current government.

What Rajiv Shukla said?

On his relations with sports, politics and cinema, Rajiv Shukla said that there is nothing wrong in having relations with everyone and if you remain active, do not sit at home and meet people, then relations will definitely be formed. He also said that there should be a desire to maintain relations. On the current politics, Rajiv Shukla said that if we were not united, we would have made a mistake. He said, 'We have experience of running a coalition government. We have no problem.'

Kaurvas was also the same

On the question of being seen in every field, Rajiv Shukla said, 'Gradually you all learn. It is God's grace that everything went well with me.' On the political crisis that arose in Himachal recently, Rajiv said, 'The problem was that we won with a majority of 40 MLAs but the problem of BJP is that we will not let anyone rule. The problem of Kauravas was also the same that we will not give anything to others, we will not give even five villages to Pandavas. We will rule everywhere. Due to this greed, these people broke the MLAs of Himachal. There were many MLAs whose political future could have been good but all lost and their careers were ruined.'

Congress didn't break any party

On being asked about the politics of manipulation, Rajiv Shukla said, 'Manmohan Singh was in power for 10 years, tell me whose MPs did he break. They always tried to topple a running government. It has become part of their blood to topple someone's government if it is running.' On the question of increasing bitterness in politics, Rajiv Shukla said, 'This should not happen. At that time, there were people like Arun Jaitley and Sushma Swaraj who used to talk to the opposition. Now this does not happen. I myself have been the Parliamentary Affairs Minister. It is the government's responsibility to talk to the opposition. Pranab Mukherjee had told me that only that person is a successful Parliamentary Affairs Minister who is seen sitting with the opposition more than with the ruling party.'

Explaining the difference between Atal and Modi government, Rajiv Shukla said, 'There is a huge difference between the two. Vajpayee ji was never involved in any wrongdoing. He also had a very good relationship with Sonia ji. Even today the opposition respects him. The opposition praises Gadkari ji a lot.'
