PM Modi will flag off 2 Vande Bharat trains in Mumbai today Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today flag off two Vande Bharat trains from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in Mumbai, as well as inaugurate a new campus of an educational institution of the Dawoodi Bohra community, besides two elevated railways in Mumbai and with this he will also inaugurate the road corridor and a vehicle underpass.Railway officials said on Thursday that after arriving in the city, PM Modi would first flag off the CSMT-Solapur Vande Bharat Express in the afternoon and soon the second semi connecting the financial capital to Sainagar Shirdi.The Mumbai-Solapur Vande Bharat Express will cover the 455 kilometre distance between the countrys commercial capital and the major textile city in 6 hours 30 minutes, saving almost an hour over the present time.Earlier on September 30, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had flagged off the Gandhinagar-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express train. He also travelled by train from Gandhinagar station to Kalupur railway station.PM flagged off Vande Bharat earlierPrime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the 9th and 10th Vande Bharat trains on February 10 in Mumbai in his second visit to the financial capital in less than a month. These two Vande Bharat trains will run between Mumbai and Sainagar Shirdi and Mumbai and Solapur. While Vande Bharat Express between Mumbai and Solapur will run via Bhor Ghat (located between Karjat and Khandala via Pune). Whereas, Vande Bharat Mumbai-Shirdi Express train will travel via Mathal Ghat and cover a distance of approximately 340 kilometres in 5.25 hrs.According to officials, Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav among other dignitaries will be present at the CSMT function. It consists of 16 coaches and is designed by an indigenous company. The train catches a speed of 160 kmph in just 140 seconds.
