New Delhi: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), renowned as the world's richest temple, witnessed an unprecedented influx of devotees in July, resulting in a staggering hundi collection of Rs 125.35 crore, with approximately 22.3 lakh devotees offering prayers and 1.4 crore laddus being distributed during the same period, according to officials.

In a remarkable display of devotion, over 8.7 lakh devotees tonsured their heads at Tirumala to fulfill their vows, further underscoring the temple's immense spiritual significance.

TTD's hundi income reaches new heights

As the temple authorities prepare for the grand Srivari annual Brahmotsavams, scheduled to take place from October 4-12, followed by the Annual Pavitrostavams from October 15-17, the hundi income for the first six months of the year has been consistently impressive with January recording Rs 116.46 crore, February Rs 111.71 crore, March Rs 118.49 crore, April Rs 101.63 crore, May Rs 108.28 crore and June Rs 113.64 crore, culminating in a remarkable Rs 125.35 crore in July, the highest hundi income received in a single month.

Notably, the Srivari Hundi income has consistently exceeded Rs 100 crore for 29 consecutive months since March 2022, a testament to the enduring devotion and generosity of the temple's devotees.
