Throat slit body of village head found in pool of blood in UP's Pratapgarh

The body was found in a car and soon after getting the information police rushed him to the hospital but he was declared dead.

In Uttar Pradesh's Pratapgarh district, the body of a village head with his throat slit, identified as Karunesh Kumar, was recovered from a car parked in the mango orchard in the area causing a significant stir among residents. 

Additional Superintendent of Police, Ajay Rai informed that the person's dead body was found in a car on the banks of the Ausanganj canal located at Jamethi under the Kunda Police Station area. The localities informed the police after spotting the body in the car.

Soon after getting the information, the victim was rushed to the hospital but he was declared dead. Meanwhile, police have sent the body for a post-mortem and have started the investigation.

The police have launched a thorough investigation to determine the motives and perpetrators behind this heinous crime. Initial reports suggest the possibility of personal enmity or political rivalry, given Kumar's position and influence within the village. The authorities are conducting interrogations and gathering evidence from the crime scene, including forensic analysis, to piece together the events leading up to the murder.
