Update: Terror organisation Kashmir Tigers claims responsibility of Doda attack

According to the recent updates, army has recovered arms and ammunition from Sedal sohal village in Hiranagar, Kathua. the ammunition consist of 3 magazine containing 30 rounds, 1 magazine having 24 rounds, 75 rounds in separate polythene, 3 live grenades, 1 lakh currency (200 notes of Rs 500), Eatables (Pakistan made chocolates, dry chana and stale chappatis), Pakistan made Medicines and injections (pain killers) 1 syringe, 2 pack of A4 batteries, 1 handset wrapped in tape having antenna and 2 wires hanging from this handset.

Apart from this, reports also claim that terrorist organisation Kashmir tigers have claimed responsibility for the Doda attack.


A massive search operation is underway in Jammu and Kashmir after a terror attack reported in Chettergala within hours of an attack near Kathua district, which was followed by the terror attack on a bus when it was going towards Vaishno Devi from Shivkhori, a couple of days back. Notably, it is the third terror attack in the region within three days.

The people who got injured are being brought to the Sub District Hospital Bhaderwah for treatment as an encounter is underway between security forces and terrorists in the Chattargala area of Doda.

Meanwhile, Anand Jain, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Jammu said that it seems that terror attacks have been planned to disturb the Amarnath Yatra as it is approaching soon. 

What exactly happened?

Two days after the terror attack in Reasi which claimed the life of 10 pilgrims, gunshots were reportedly heard by villagers in the Hiranagar area of Kathua on Tuesday, police said. The Reasi terror attack took place on Sunday.

According to authorities on Tuesday, a gunfight between security personnel and terrorists broke out in the village of Saida Sukhal, near Koota mode PS Hira Nagar, Kathua, and resulted in the death of one terrorist.

In a post on X, the Jammu Additional Director General of Police (ADG) stated, "One terrorist killed, Operation going on." The search operation in the area is still underway. According to Panchayat Surada Jasbir Singh, the sarpanch, they have learned that a person has been abducted by terrorists.

Jitendra Meanwhile, Union Minister Jitendra Singh also took to his official X handle and posted, "I am in continuous online contact with DC Kathua Rakesh Minhas in the wake of a terrorist attack on a house in village Saida in Hiranagar sector close to the International Border. I am also in touch with SSP Kathua Sh Anayat Ali Choudhary who is on the spot. The owner of the house that was attacked (name not to be disclosed) is also in touch on a mobile phone. A joint police and para-military operation is going on. One terrorist neutralised so far. I and my office are in constant touch and keeping a close watch on the developments."

It is worth noting that simultaneously two encounters are going on right now, one in Kathua's Hiranagar and the other one in Chattergala Baderwah in Doda district.
