Thieves hypnotizes woman into surrendering gold, mobile, cash in Udaipur

In a startling incident in Udaipur, Rajasthan, a woman was reportedly hypnotized by two individuals in a bustling market, who subsequently robbed her of gold valued at over 4 lakh rupees, as well as her mobile phone and cash. The incident, captured on video, has rapidly circulated across social media platforms, highlighting the audacious nature of the crime.

The video footage reveals the woman engaging in conversation with the two perpetrators for approximately seven minutes. Following this interaction, she appeared to comply with their instructions in an unusually compliant manner.

The victim, identified as Rekha, had visited the market to purchase groceries when she was intercepted by the fraudsters. They initiated the conversation by asking if she had ever visited Mathura, to which she responded in the negative. Continuing their manipulation, the fraudsters inquired about her religious beliefs, and she disclosed her faith in Lord Mahavir Swami. Subsequently, they sprayed a liquid substance on her hands and head.

In a bewildering turn of events, Rekha retrieved 50 rupees from her purse and handed it over to one of the individuals. Strangely, the same 50 rupee note was returned to her, after which she reportedly lost consciousness. Following their instructions, she surrendered all the valuables she possessed, including her gold, mobile phone, and cash.

The incident has sparked widespread concern and calls for vigilance among local residents and authorities, underscoring the need for heightened awareness against such fraudulent activities in public spaces.
