Lok Sabha Elections 2024 are all about battle! The past two Lok Sabha Elections witnessed a Modi wave amongst voters, but this election the fight will be of dignity for either side in ambission to win. As we begin with battles, this festival of democracy will witness one on one massive head to head brawls amongst respctive candidates, and thus we bring you a loaded packedge of battles to witness.
Here are the key candidates and battles to look out for:
Wayanad has been a strong arm for Congress's grand old party. This constituency will witness Rahul Gandhi, the sitting MP defending against Kerala's BJP leader and chief K Surendran. The battle will be more interesting as its turning out to be a threeway war as CPI leader Annie Raja is also contesting with a united front. This battle will be a prestige battle for Gandhi.
Congress's MP from Thiruvananthapuram is facing competition in Kerala's capital as the fight will make him face BJP leader and Union minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar. Tharoor will represent the territory for the third time.
For a third term, Actor-turned-politician Hema Malini is contesting again from Mathura. The battles thought isn't one way as she faces OBC leader Mukesh Dhangar of the Congress, who has his own advantages along with Chaudhary Suresh Singh of the BSP, all looking at the seat and chance to seize it.
A true blue forte of BJP in from of Bangalore South will witness massive fight amongst BJP's youth icon Tejasvi Suriya, who's pitted against Sowmya Reddy, vying to claim the parliamentary seat for the INC. BJP have never lost the seat since 1991
Purnea is set to face mammoth candidates battle it out as this war is JD(U) MP Santosh Kushwaha against Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav who is contesting as an Independent, and RJD’s Bima Bharti, who was recently seen switching gears and parties prior to election. JDU's Santosh, have secured victory twice and looking out for a third win, while Ranjan, had also been three-time former MP
Maharashtra's Amravati is set to have a brawl with BJP's sitting MP Navneet Rana against Congress's Balwant Wankhede. Prahar Janshakti Party's candidate, Dinesh Bub, which has two legislators in the assembly, is an ally of the ruling coalition.
Speaker of the outgoing Lok Sabha Om Birla is contesting from Kota. He is facing a stiff challenge from the Congress candidate Prahlad Gunjal.
