Terrorists opened fire at civilians in Anantnag in South Kashmir district on Wednesday. One person got shot and was injured in the firing.
The victim has been identified as Sahil Bashir Dar, a resident of Watrigama Wanihama.
The Kashmir Zone Police took to X(Twitter), to inform about the incident and said “#Terrorists fired upon one person namely Sahil Bashir Dar son of Bashir Ah Dar resident of Wanihama in #Anantnag district. The injured person is being shifted to hospital for treatment. Area cordoned off. Further details shall follow.”

Following this incident, the victim was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Moreover, the whole area was cordoned off to nab the attackers soon after the firing.
Earlier two terrorists of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen were killed in an encounter in the Kulgam district of Kashmir after a firing broke out between the terrorists and security personnel on Wednesday.
“2 terrorists killed. Bodies of the killed terrorists are being retrieved from the site of the encounter. The cordon & search operation is still in progress. Further details shall follow,” Kashmir Police Zone said in a post on X.

The two terrorists have been identified as Basit Amin Bhat of Frisal and Saqib Ahmad Lone of Hawoora, Kulgam, the Kashmir Zone Police announced on X.
A Police spokesman said that Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) would continue in the area.
