Arjun was pictured standing patiently in the queue wearing a crisp white shirt and black trousers, occasionally obliging fans with selfies.

After voting, he posted a picture of his inked finger on social media, encouraging others to vote responsibly.

Jr NTR took a more familial approach, arriving at the polling station hand-in-hand with his wife Lakshmi Pranathi and mother Shalini Nandamuri. Video circulating online shows the trio waiting calmly in line among other voters before entering the booth.

They were joined in the early turnout by veteran Telugu actor and former politician Chiranjeevi, who brought his wife Surekha and daughter Sreeja along to vote. Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi's actor son Ram Charan had travelled back from Mysore to make it in time to cast his ballot today.

As the day progresses, many more of Tollywood's leading lights are expected to turn out across Hyderabad and exercise their democratic right to vote in Telangana's crucial state elections.
