On Friday, in Sasaram, Bihar, Rahul Gandhi and former deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav embarked on his 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra'. The Yatra is expected to visit Uttar Pradesh later today after reaching its conclusion in Bihar.

As the yatra passed through Sasaram, Rahul Gandhi and other leaders were seen being driven by Yadav in the lead jeep; the RJD leader acknowledged his ally in a post on X.

Yadav also shared the stage with Rahul Gandhi during a public meeting in Kaimur at Dhaneychha in the Durgawati block of Kaimur.

It is important to note that this will be the first time the RJD leader will be seen sharing the stage with Gandhi in Bihar since state Chief Minister Nitish Kumar joined hands with INDIA bloc.

"Today is the 34th day of Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra and Rahul Gandhi will have conversations with farmer leaders in Rohtas today...Today around 2:30 pm, Tejashwi Yadav and Rahul Gandhi will address a gathering in Kaimur and at around 5 pm, the yatra will enter Uttar Pradesh..." Senior Party leader and Rajya Sabha MP Jairam Ramesh said.

Later in the day, at 4 pm, the Yatra will move into UP's Chandauli. It will be in UP till the evening of February 25 with a two-day break on February 22 and 23.

Will Tejashwi Yadav help Rahul Gandhi?

It is anticipated that Tejashwi Yadav will help Rahul Gandhi in the 2024 general elections. The two leaders have a close relationship, and Yadav has already expressed his support for Gandhi's leadership. In addition, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), which Yadav leads, is a key ally of the Congress party in Bihar.

There are several reasons why Yadav might be willing to help Gandhi. First, the RJD is facing a number of challenges in Bihar, including the rise of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)). Yadav may believe that an alliance with the Congress would help the RJD to counter these challenges.

Second, Yadav may see Gandhi as a potential ally in his own bid to become the Chief Minister of Bihar. Gandhi is a popular leader in Bihar, and his support could help Yadav to win over voters.

Third, Yadav may share Gandhi's political views. Both leaders are committed to social justice and economic equality. They are also both opposed to the BJP's right-wing agenda.
