A notable development occurred as Swati Maliwal changed her Twitter profile. She removed CM Kejriwal's photo and replaced it with a black colour profile image, indicating a shift in her stance amidst the ongoing controversy.

Former Delhi Commission for Women Chairperson and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal finds herself embroiled in allegations of assault. Maliwal accused Vibhav Kumar, former private secretary and aide to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, of assaulting her. The AAP convened a press conference on Friday to address this issue, where Delhi's AAP government minister Atishi alleged that Swati Maliwal had become a pawn in a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) conspiracy targeting Chief Minister Kejriwal. The party has refuted the claims of 'assault' on Vibhav Kumar, dismissing them as baseless, and Swati Maliwal has now spoken out regarding the matter.

Character Questioning, Asserts Maliwal

Expressing her frustration, Swati Maliwal remarked, "They are questioning my character." In a social media post on 'X,' Maliwal highlighted that newly inducted leaders in the party referred to a 20-year-old party worker as a BJP agent. She pointed out the recent flip-flop in the party's stance, stating, "Two days ago, the party accepted all truths in the PC and today took a U-turn." Maliwal further emphasized, "This thug party is threatening; if I am arrested, I will reveal all secrets, that's why I am seeking refuge from Lucknow to everywhere." Asserting her determination, she added, "No problem, I have been fighting alone for the women of the entire country, I will fight for myself too. Go ahead and assassinate my character; the truth will come out when the time comes!" Maliwal's remarks came following her discussions with Aap spokespersons, including Atishi.

Baseless Allegations, Says AAP

In response to Maliwal's accusations, Atishi labelled them as baseless. She claimed that the BJP had schemed to entrap Chief Minister Kejriwal and Maliwal was a part of this 'conspiracy.' Delhi Police has registered a case against Vibhav Kumar for the alleged assault on Swati Maliwal at Arvind Kejriwal's official residence. Additionally, Atishi mentioned that Kumar had filed a complaint against Maliwal in the police, further complicating the situation.
