The National Commission for Women (NCW) has summoned Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's former private secretary Vibhav Kumar in the case of misbehavior with Swati Maliwal. The Women's Commission has asked Vibhav Kumar to appear at 11 am on Friday (May 17, 2024).

National Commission for Women chief Rekha Sharma had said on Tuesday (May 14, 2024) that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha member Swati Maliwal should raise her voice in the matter. Actually, the allegation is that Vibhav Kumar had misbehaved with Swati Maliwal at Kejriwal's official residence.

Safety of Swati Maliwal

A day earlier, National Commission for Women chief Rekha Sharma expressed concern about the safety of Swati Maliwal and said that she should raise her voice. He tweeted, 'I am worried about the safety of Swati Maliwal...what kind of pressure is there on her that she is not able to come forward and lodge a complaint with the police.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sanjay Singh had said that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's personal assistant Bibhav Kumar misbehaved with the party's Rajya Sabha member Swati Maliwal at the Chief Minister's residence on Monday. He said that AAP supremo Kejriwal will take strict action in this matter. At the same time, police officials said that they have not received the formal complaint yet, but they have not stopped the DD (daily diary) entry because Maliwal had come to the police station on Monday and said that she would come to lodge the complaint.
