The Supreme Court has stayed the directive asking eateries on Kanwariya Yatra route to put owners' names in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Madhya Pradesh.
The directive from the top court has come after the state governments made it mandatory for the eateries to mention the name of the owners en route to Kanwar Yatra.

Apart from this, the Supreme Court seek their response and posts the matter for hearing on July 26 adding that food sellers must not be forced to serve names of owners, staff employed.
Meanwhile, it is important to note that the order from the Supreme Court has come after Opposition MP Mahua Moitra forwarded a plea against the enforcement of the decision.
