In a significant development, Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, has been granted bail by the Supreme Court in a case linked to the excise policy. The bench comprising Justices Surya Kant and Ujjal Bhuyan approved his bail on a bond of Rs 10 lakh and two sureties. The Court has also instructed Kejriwal to refrain from making any public comments regarding the cases merits.In addition to this, the top court has also put certain conditions on the release of Kejriwal on bail, saying that he shall not make any public comments and shall be present for all hearings before the trial court unless exempted.Taking it to her official X handle, Sunita Kejriwal, wife of Arvind Kejriwal expressed her happiness on Supreme Courts order and wished for release of other jailed leaders of the party.
