Sultanpur: BJP leader’s nephew brutally murdered outside spa centre, visuals surfaces

A shocking incident occurred in Sultanpur when the nephew of a BJP Mandal President was brutally murdered in broad daylight. The 22-year-old, identified as Abhay Pratap Singh, became embroiled in a violent altercation with a group of 10-12 youths outside a local spa center. The conflict escalated rapidly, culminating in one of the assailants shooting Abhay in the chest.

The tragic event unfolded in the upscale area of Payagipur, causing panic among local residents and shopkeepers. The severity of the situation forced many shops to close their shutters. Disturbing CCTV footage of the incident has since surfaced, revealing the chaotic moments leading up to the fatal shooting.

Victim’s Friends Attempted to Save Him

Abhay Pratap Singh, a resident of Pakri village, was shot in the chest during the altercation. The CCTV footage shows a group of boys brawling outside the spa center, with one of them drawing a gun and firing at Abhay. As the assailants fled the scene, a few of Abhay’s friends attempted to help him, but he had already lost consciousness. They quickly transported him to the hospital on a motorcycle, but doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

Ram Abhilakh Singh, the BJP Mandal President and uncle of the deceased, expressed his grief and demanded swift action against the perpetrators. Following the incident, senior police officials, including SP Somen Verma and CO City Shivam Mishra, arrived at the scene. A forensic team conducted a thorough investigation, while the police questioned the spa center operator. Both the surveillance cell and the crime branch have been mobilized to track down the suspects.

Police Statement

SP Somen Verma confirmed that the murder stemmed from a mutual dispute and that the crime was committed by an acquaintance of the victim. "The exact motive will be revealed once the accused are arrested," he said. The body has been sent for postmortem, and multiple teams are actively working on the case to ensure justice is served.
