Rohan Jagadish, Deputy Commissioner of Police for Law and Order in Belagavi, addressed the issue, explaining that the Aurangzeb banner was posted on public property without authorization. “On November 3, believed to be Aurangzebs birthday, individuals put up the posters illegally. The corporation has since taken them down,” Jagadish stated, adding that further action was under consideration to prevent future incidents.
