Noida police arrested an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer on Monday, in connection with the suicide of a woman. According to police, her body was found hanging from a noose in his Nodia apartment. Police arrested the IRS officer Saurabh Meena from his residence in Nodias Sector 100. Officials stated that they found the body of Shilpa Gautam who worked as a Human Resources official at BHEL. They found her body hanging from a rope which was made of cloth in one of his rooms.Allegations of deceit and abuseGautams family has leveled accusations against Shilpa and Saurabh, claiming that the two had been romantically involved for three years. They met via a dating application, where their relationship flourished over time. Shilpas father, OP Gautam, has lodged complaints of deceit and physical violence against Saurabh, an IRS officer, contending that Saurabh had pledged to marry Shilpa but reneged on his promise. This alleged breach led to frequent fights and instances of physical abuse.Contradicting claimsSaurabh has refuted the claims, saying that while he did encounter Shilpa through a dating app, their acquaintance began merely three months ago, not the asserted three-year period.The situation escalated when the deceaseds father lodged a formal complaint with the Sector-39 police, accusing Saurabh of Shilpas murder. He stated that Saurabh enticed Shilpa with false matrimonial assurances and mistreated her. After that police arrested Saurabh. What has Noida DCP said Manish Kumar Mishra, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in Noida, disclosed that Saurabh was presented before a court and subsequently remanded to judicial custody. Mishra repeated the thorough scrutiny of all case facets. He also said that the precise cause is yet to be known. It will be revealed by awaiting the post-mortem report. Moreover, investigative efforts involve scrutinizing the mobile phone records of both individuals and analyzing CCTV footage from the residential complex to reconstruct the events leading to Shilpas death.
