The incident reportedly occurred on the night of September 18, when Farkade, who runs a tea and snack stall at the Multai bus stand, was apprehended by police. The victim claims he was accused of selling narcotics and was subjected to severe physical abuse despite repeatedly asserting his innocence. Farkade alleged that police officers ignored his pleas and tied him to the window grill, physically assaulting him without any justification.
Following the video's release and subsequent complaint, Betul police initiated a probe into the incident. SP Jharia assured that strict action would be taken once the investigation is complete, signaling the administration's commitment to address police misconduct.
