The current weather forecasts for major cities in the state, such as Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Agra, and Meerut, indicate hazy sunshine with no significant precipitation expected in the coming days.
Historically, Uttar Pradesh has experienced weather events involving rain, strong winds, and lightning. For instance, in December 2024, several districts, including Amroha,Muzzafarnagar, and Meerut, were issued alerts for thunderstorms and lightning. Similarly, in September 2024, heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning was reported in districts like Prayagraj and Mirzapur.
