Road accident viral: An incident in India has sparked widespread outrage after a mother-daughter duo in a car hit and killed a biker on the spot. The shocking part of the story, however, is the apparent lack of guilt or remorse shown by the young woman involved in the accident.

Eyewitnesses reported that after the tragic event, instead of expressing regret or taking responsibility, the girl appeared angry and unapologetic. She even demanded that bystanders stop recording the scene, exhibiting what many called an “entitled attitude” that suggested she knew she would face little to no consequences.

People are outraged as video of the incident surfaces

Social media users have not held back in expressing their anger over the incident. A user named Subha, also known as MasculineWriter, pointed out the perceived flaws in the justice system, tweeting, “They won’t be in jail for more than a day. The judges will eventually let them go. Same outcome, every time.”

Narendar Singh Shekhawat voiced his disgust, condemning both women involved. “Disgusting! She has killed an innocent biker, but what bothers her is that she is being recorded after what she has done. Both these women clearly don’t value the life of a fellow human being. Jail is the only place where they belong, that too for life,” he said.

Social Media users express disgust

The incident has sparked conversations around responsibility, entitlement, and justice. Another user, Pihu, expressed frustration over the lack of driving skills: “When you don’t know how to drive, why do you even take the car? Shameless!”

Rohit Mishra, another social media user, criticized what he called “entitlement” and “fake feminism,” while others like R̥ohiʈ commented on gender roles, stating, “No wonder our ancestors kept women at home; they knew the consequences.”

A user named Saffron Reich echoed similar sentiments, writing, “The amount of entitlement they have just disgusts me. It is because of unquestioned freedom without any responsibilities. A man is dead, and all she cares about is someone recording it for evidence.”

Concerns over justice for the victim

Many online voiced concerns over the likelihood of justice for the victim. Ranadeb Bhattacharya summed up the frustrations of many by tweeting, “Nothing will happen to her and her mother if she knows the right people at the right places. That’s justice for a common man.”

The accident and the aftermath have left the public questioning not only the character of those involved but also the effectiveness of the legal system when it comes to holding the privileged accountable.
