Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief and shock after terrorist attack by Hamas on Israel. He said that we stand in solidarity with Israel.

Taking it to his X account (formerly Twitter), he mentioned, “Deeply shocked by the news of terrorist attacks in Israel. Our thoughts and prayers are with the innocent victims and their families. We stand in solidarity with Israel at this difficult hour.”

Notably, his statement has come after a barrage of rockets slammed into southern and central Israel on Saturday morning after Hamas launched a surprise attack.

According to the latest updates, at least 22 people died in the attack so far and over hundreds of people have been reported missing so far.

Meanwhile, following the attacks Indian Embassy in Israel has issued an advisory for the Indians and have asked them to stay near shelters and follow the instructions given to them.

Responding to the attack, Israel has already declared a state of war in the country and Israel Defence Forces have launched Operation ‘Iron Swords’, as per the Times of Israel reported.
