Lashkar Commander killed in Srinagar: In a major security success, the Indian Army eliminated top Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Usman during an intense gunfight in the Khanyar area of Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. The operation, which took place in the early hours, involved elite units of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP), who jointly launched the mission after credible intelligence indicated the presence of a high-profile militant in the vicinity.

Who was Usman?

Out of the three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists that were eliminated by the Indian army one has been identified as Usman. He was leading commander of the terrorist outfit in the valley. He was overseeing the operations and recruitments as well to sustain in the valley.
