The chilling details of the incident have now come to light, painting a grim picture of the traumatic ordeal the 28-year-old woman endured.

Citing the police FIR, the Spanish vlogger was allegedly threatened with a dagger, kicked, punched, and repeatedly raped by the group of men during a harrowing two-and-a-half-hour ordeal. The incident unfolded in Kurumahat, located in the Hansdiha police station area, approximately 300 kilometers from the state capital, Ranchi.

The woman, who was spending the night in a tent along with her husband, recounted the terrifying sequence of events in her statement recorded at 2:05 am on March 2 at the community health center. An FIR was subsequently registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 376D (gangrape) and 395 (dacoity).

The FIR, provides a glimpse into the horrific ordeal. According to the woman's account, three men initially quarreled with her husband, assaulted him, and tied his hands. The remaining four men then allegedly forcefully picked her up "after showing me a dagger," threw her to the ground, kicked, punched, and repeatedly raped her.

•    "All of them seemed to be slightly drunk. This incident took place from around 7.30 pm to 10 pm," the FIR quotes her as saying.

•    "In the course of our journey, we reached Kumrahat village Dumka… As it was quite late, we decided to establish our temporary makeshift tent at night for our overnight stay in a nearby forested hill road."

•    She further alleged that the accused also snatched various personal belongings, including a Swiss knife, a wristwatch, a platinum ring with diamond, a silver ring, black earpods, a black purse, a credit card, around ₹11,000, 300 US dollars, a steel spoon, and a fork.

Despite the harrowing ordeal, the couple's resilience shone through as they left for Nepal via Bihar on their motorcycles on Tuesday. Before departing, the woman expressed her gratitude towards the people of India, stating, "People of India are nice. I don't blame the people, but I blame the criminals. People of India have treated me very well, and were very kind to me."

She acknowledged the warm hospitality she had encountered during her travels across the country, saying, "We have been in India for the last six months and travelled around 20,000 km. We did not have any problems anywhere. This has happened for the first time."

The police have arrested eight accused in connection with the case, with five more individuals apprehended on Tuesday. As the investigation unfolds, the nation awaits justice for the horrific crime committed against the Spanish vlogger, who had embarked on a journey to explore the beauty of India but instead encountered a nightmare.
