The prostitution ring was caught by the police during a late-night raid on the Bamboo International Spa Center, which is situated on the fourth floor of the Le Desire Complex on Circular Road in Ranchi. During the operation, eight women and six men—three of whom were foreigners—were taken into custody. The spa centre was in disarray following the police raid. In a particular room constructed on the spa grounds, numerous people were discovered in disagreeable conditions during the police raid. A laptop, 13 cell phones, and other objectionable goods were also taken from the location. Adikant Mahato, the in-charge of the Lalpur police station, made a statement that led to the registration of a case, and the accused was taken to Hotwar jail.A woman from Sadarpur in South-West Delhi, three individuals from Thailand, two from West Bengal, a woman from Ranchi, and spa operator Gaurav Agarwal from Chhattarpur in Delhi are among those who were sent to prison. The clients who resided in the Upper Bazaar neighbourhood, Joda Talab Road, Pundag Road, and Harmu Housing Colony have been put to jail.
